The Advanced Peer Support Training program augments our Basic Peer Support Training Program, providing 40 hours of specialized training and Peer Support certification at the completion of the course.
Training focuses on specialized concepts that are uniquely geared towards First Responders, including but not limited to:
- Line of Duty Death and Notification
- Understanding Trauma
- Substance Abuse
- Critical Incidents
- Understanding EMDR, Neurofeedback, and Trauma Treatment
Hosted by Board Certified Police Safety Psychologist Dr. Robin Kroll, the Advanced Peer Support Training program provides participants with the opportunity to engage in various role playing scenarios as well.
Following the Advanced Peer Support Training program, participants will be certified to provide Peer Support services at their agency or department, as well as refer peers to outside resources if necessary.
