The Resilience & Stress Management Training program teaches self-care practices that help First Responders become less emotionally and physically vulnerable to the daily and cumulative stressors involved with the nature of their work.
The program trains First Responders to regain control and build resilience through various mind-body principles and self-care interventions to enhance their quality of life. An emphasis is placed on:
- The connection between stress and physical or emotional problems
- Various techniques to elicit the body’s innate stress buffer
- The important role of positive thoughts and beliefs
- The critical importance of healthy eating, restorative sleep and physical activity
